BootP/DHCP
: Authorises (choose enable) configuration of network parameters with your BootP/DHCP
server when the card is booted
Mode of card operation with server: after any reboot, if this option is enabled, the card tries to recover the
network parameters from the server for 10 sec. If no response is received from the server, the card boots
with the last saved parameters from the previous start. These parameters are those shown on the page
The default value for this parameter is “Enable”
.

The IP address supplied by the DHCP server must be fixed to maintain connection with the clients installed
on the stations to be protected.

Network Upgrade:
Authorises (choose enable) remote upgrading of the embedded system on the card
using the Mupgrade tool. Read the “
Maintenance
” section for more details.

Primary DNS server:
contains the IP address of the main DNS server ensuring conversion of the domain
name to IP address.
◗
Secondary DNS server:
contains the IP address of the secondary DNS server ensuring conversion of the
domain name to IP address if the primary DNS server is not available.

SMTP
server
: contains the name or IP address of the local server with which the card connects to send e-
mails.
It may be filled in either as host + domain name (DNS resolution), or directly with the IP address
The default value is
stmpserver.domain.com .
The card uses port 25 to send e-mails.

The
Authentication
option must be selected if the SMPT server requires this parameter for query
submission (see the RFC 2554 for SMTP authentication) for commercial reasons, access control, etc.
When authentication is selected, the
User
and
Password
parameters must be specified for identification
with the local SMTP server.
Default values are
MGEUPS/MGEUPS
.
Note
: The card must be rebooted after any changes to these parameters. See
“System”
Security:
the administrator must click on
Save
and enter his login/password to save any modifications.
