Engine Emissions Malfunction Indicator Lamp
- Yellow
With the ignition switch in position 2, this lamp
illuminates to conduct a system self-check and extinguishes
after the engine startup. If this lamp stays on or illuminates
during driving, it indicates an engine failure which may affect
the engine performance and emission. Please contact a
local Authorised Repairer for service.
Engine Coolant Temperature Warning Lamp
- Blue/Red
This warning lamp is used to indicate the
engine coolant temperature, which has two colors: blue
and red.
This lamp conducts a self-check when the
ignition is switched on. If the lamp illuminates blue, it
indicates that engine coolant temperature is too low. If
the lamp illuminates red, it indicates that engine coolant
temperature is too high. When coolant temperature
continues to rise, the warning lamp will flash, accompanied
with an audible alarm. If it is detected that the engine
coolant temperature signal is lost, this lamp will illuminate
blue and flash. Please contact a local Authorised Repairer
for service as soon as possible.
High engine temperature may cause serious damage to
the engine. In this case, pull over the vehicle and shut
down the engine as soon as safety permits and seek an MG
Authorised Repairer.
Electronic Power Steering (EPS) and Steering
Angle Sensor (SAS) Warning Lamp -
Yellow/Red
With the ignition switch in position 2, this
lamp illuminates yellow first, then changes to red, and
extinguishes after a self-check.
When a general electronic power steering failure occurs,
this lamp illuminates yellow.
When the steering angle
sensor (SAS) is faulty or not calibrated, this lamp illuminates
red.
