Gear Display and Automatic Transmission
Mode

With the ignition switch in position 2, it displays the
current shift lever position of the automatic transmission
(P, R, N, D). When the automatic transmission is in sports
mode or winter mode, it will display "S" or "W". When
the automatic transmission is in TIPTRONIC mode, the
instrument displays the following numbers "1, 2, 3, 4, 5
