S-VLAN Allocation (Trunk Port)

A trunk port will only accept frames which are tagged with an S-Tag having a valid
Ethertype and also an ID that is within the allocated range. Untagged, or ID’s outside the
allocation will be discarded.

5.3.1.7.1.3.2

EtherType (Trunk Port)

The Ethertype for an S-VLAN tag is configurable to ensure interoperability and maximum
flexibility of application. The EtherType may take the following values:

9100

Default, S-Tag Ethertype

8100

Standard VLAN QinQ operation

88A8

Provider Bridge, (IEEE 802.1ad)

Control C-VLAN

The control S-VLAN is used for the transport of CFM OAM frames, however this function is
not supported on the WCM range so this value may be left as default.
