5.2.9.3 VLAN Override
The VLAN override menu allows the user to overwrite the PCP tag of incoming user
frames to force the PCP to a defined level. The menu is as shown below:

VLAN-BASED PRIORITY OVERRIDE
C-Tag Priority: VLAN(s):

5 101-110

3 -
2 -

0 1-100

<escape> - exit menu
In the above example, any user frame ingressing a port with VID 1001 will have the PCP
overwritten with 7, thus promoting this VID to the high priority queue. Also, any frames
with VID 1 to 100 will be forced to PCP level 0.
Where priority override occurs, if a frame egresses with a tag, it will contain the overridden
PCP value.
5.2.9.4 Scheduling Mode
The WCM internally supports four levels of priority queues. These queues may be
serviced using a strict priority or a weighted round robin basis.
Strict Priority means that the queues are serviced in order, meaning only when the high
priority traffic is exhausted do the lower priority queues get serviced.
Weighted Round Robbin is a means of ensuring that all queues get some service, and that
no priority level is blocked.
