5.3.2.4 Link Status

When the SFP is fitted, this displays the operational state of the link and also may be UP
or DOWN.

5.3.2.5 Port Mode

The port mode item displays the physical operating mode in terms of Speed and Duplex
for the port. If auto negotiation is enabled, then this is only displayed once auto
negotiation is completed. When AN is disabled, the configured speed and duplex are
displayed.

5.3.2.6 Port Management

The port management menu allows the physical configuration of the LAN port to be
defined. The port management menu is shown below:

5.3.2.6.1 Speed

The Speed setting defines the standard operating mode of the SFP port. The options are

1000M

1000 Base –X, Full Duplex

100M

100 Base FX, Full Duplex, No Auto Negotiation

5.3.2.6.2 Auto Negotiation

When in 1000BaseX mode, auto negotiation is used to select the correc operating
parameters between hosts. To support interoperation with a non AN host, the link will
automatically fall back to 1000M, FD operation.
