CCD Cleaning (continued)
Issue:
The CCD is malfunctioning or needs cleaning (dust spots on the video screen)
Servicing the
visualization
system requires
the use of a
FALSE TRACK.
This item is
supplied with
the system (see
Fig. 9 below).
1.
Remove the four screws connecting the visualization system assembly to the front
panel.
2.
Pull the visualization system assembly to remove it from the front panel.
3.
Unscrew the 4 screws on the base of the visualization system (fig. 1)
4.
Lift the lid (fig. 2)
Do not start this
procedure
unless you have
this track.
Contact MES if
you need a
FALSE TRACK.
5.
Unscrew the 2 screws holding DC Motor and remove it (fig. 3 and 4).
6.
Disconnect the internal video cable of camera attached to pipe from external video
cable. Unscrewing the 2 screws (fig. 5) and remove the stopper (fig. 6) from the bench
at the bottom of the visualization system.
7.
The focus system contains many tiny stainless-steel balls that could be lost unless a
false track tool
is used to secure them. Join the
false track
to the metal guide rail and
slide the camera tray over the
false track
(fig. 7). Now while the stainless-steel balls are
safety secured (fig. 8) you can proceed to the next step.
