• Fill the container with approx. 1.5-2kg of salt so that approx. 600cc of
water comes out. This water added to the water filled previously will cause
the pressure switch contacts to switch from open to closed. As soon as the
cycle starts,
the timer recognizes the pressure switch closed impulse
and switches off the salt indicator light, clearing the salt meter.
N.B.
• If salt is not added before the end of the fifth cycle
during the first
installation
, the indicator light will switch off anyway.
• Following the first installation, each time the indicator light switches on it
will not go off until salt has been added as explained above in the section
entitled “Salt meter”.
• At the first installation, the salt meter must be filled to the top with water
first and then salt.
• With the salt container you can adapt the quantity of salt used (+ / -) to the
hardness of the water. As a result, if the arrow on the neck of the container
is set to “-” less salt will be consumed and vice versa if it is set to the “+”
sign. The meter will switch on the indicator light in any case at the 29th
cycle.
• If you top up the salt at the beginning of the 29th cycle (indicator light off)
the light will still come on during the next cycle. In theory you should add
the salt again. However, given that it's already been added (water softener
full of salt) the indicator light will stay on.
• If you add salt before the 29th cycle, at the 15th for example, the indicator
light will still come on at the end of the 29th cycle.
