WATER)

!

 WARNING

Performing  tests  with  the  engine  running  may  cause  the

propeller  to  rotate  and  result  in  serious  injury  or  death.  Use

caution  when  performing  a  test  that  requires  the  engine

running, and remove the propeller to avoid injury.

NOTICE

Operating the engine out of the water at high speeds creates

suction,  which  can  collapse  the  water  supply  hose  and

overheat  the  engine.  Do  not  operate  the  engine  above  1400

RPM  out  of  the  water  and  without  sufficient  cooling  water

supply.

IMPORTANT: Change the oil only when the engine is warm from

operation. Use only the recommended motor oil; see

Specifications.

1. Provide cooling water to the engine. Refer to 

Flushing the

Cooling System

 in this section.

2. Place the remote control into the neutral position and start

the engine. Operate the engine at idle or in neutral until the

engine reaches normal operating temperature.

3. Stop the engine, shut off the water, and remove the flushing

attachment.
