Risk of accident

ESP

is unavailable due to a malfunction

or interruption in the power supply. The

hill start assist* (SL 63 AMG only) is also

deactivated. ABS is still operational.
The SBC

brake system continues to

function normally, but without ESP

Make sure the steering wheel can be turned to

full lock without the wheels touching any

obstacles such as the kerb.

With the vehicle stationary, turn the steering

wheel to full lock in both directions in order to

reset ESP

If the display message does not disappear after

several attempts:

Drive on carefully.

Visit a qualified specialist workshop immedi-

ately.
