Introduction of the New G-Class, Model Series 463
g
The G-Class is equipped with 2-zone air conditioning
as standard. The new fog sensor, which is located in
the cover of the light/rain sensor, provides the air
conditioning system with important information to
ensure perfect climate control of the passenger cell.
The system also features a pollutant sensor which
ensures that the fresh air/recirculated air flap closes
as soon as air impurities (nitrogen oxide) are detected.
"Blow-out sensors" continuously measure the temper-
ature of the air flowing out of the vents. These sensors
are located on the instrument panel in the outer air
vents and in the air vents in the front footwell. The air
conditioning system uses this feedback to regulate
the desired vehicle temperature.
In the engine compartment, an activated charcoal
filter ensures clean air in the vehicle interior.
