Introduction of the New G-Class, Model Series 463

With the model refinement, the G-Class has been
equipped with the New Telematics Generation
(NTG) 4.5.
The "COMAND Online" operating and display system
is installed as standard as the head unit and includes
an integrated 6-disk DVD changer, hard disk naviga-
tion system, 17.8 cm (7") color display,
LINGUATRONIC voice control system as well as inte-
grated audio system and telephone keypad.
Additional functions compared to the previous
telematics generation include:
• Internet access
• USB connector center console (not with SA Media
Interface)
• Multilink-capable Bluetooth module allowing
simultaneous Bluetooth telephony and Bluetooth
audio
• SIRIUS Weather Forecast in USA
• Improved LINGUATRONIC
• Air conditioning status indicator in all head unit
variants during AC operation
• Offset 17.8 cm (7") central display on center
console significantly improves legibility and
reduces the risk of accident
• Safe operation via the central control on the center
console
The following special equipment components are
available:
• Different TV tuners for ECE, Japan and China
• Sound amplifier with 450 W output incl. Sound
speakers in doors, cockpit, D-pillar trim, sub
woofer under rear bench seat
• Satellite radio receiver and antenna on roof (USA)
• Comfort telephony (cradle with charging function,
external antenna, compensator)
• Rear entertainment with two 17.8 cm (7") displays
with DVD player
• PASS emergency call system for USA
• Digital audio receiver (DAB with dual tuner for ECE)
• Media Interface (3.5 mm jack and USB interface in
center console. External devices can be connected
to the audio system of the vehicle via the USB slot.)
