MANTEL ALLOWANCE

VENT SYSTEM ALLOWANCE
: Vertical Terminations Only. 10 feet Vertical Minimum. 70 feet Vertical Maximum. 4” ex-
haust and 3” combustion air intake pipe adapter included with unit. Only the 4” vent pipe is required to be run the full
length up to the chimney top adapter. The air intake 3” pipe may be “short-stubbed” above the existing chimney damper.
Make certain to pack insulation in the existing damper area to block outside air from flowing through the damper.
VENT DAMPER ADJUSTMENTS AVAILABLE
: There are two vent system (air intake only) dampers installed in this ap-
pliance:
PRIMARY AIR INTAKE VELOCITY ADJUSTMENT DAMPER
: This is located on the top of the Air Intake Starter
collar. This is the Primary Air Intake Velocity Adjustment damper and adjustment of this damper must be made
using a leverage tool such as a long screw driver. Factory adjusted to 45 degree Open, this is to be adjusted to-
wards the closed position incrementally once the length of vent system increases past 20 feet only. Below 20 feet,
leave at factory adjusted position. See page 52 for details.
SECONDARY AIR INTAKE ADJUSTMENT DAMPER:
This is located above the glass frame in the top convec-
tion air cavity. Adjustment is to be made by loosening the securing nut then sliding to the right to close and to the
left to open. This is Factory adjusted to Full Closed (all the way to the right). Leave this at this position for all in-
stallations. Adjust only in cases where more combustion air is needed to reduce flame height if flames are engulf-
ing the baffle brick.
CONTROLS
: IPI Electronic Ignition System with AC Primary Power and DC Backup Power. Remote Control with Smart
Thermostat included. Accent Light operates on AC Power only.
Accent Light System
: Accent Light System Included. Light can be turned on or off from remote control. Light can be
dimmed using dimmer mounted on Faceplate or Surround.
BURNER SYSTEM
: Single Ceramic Plaque Burner.
Burner Media:
Optional Glass Marbles of various colors, Pebble Rocks, Driftwood and Glowing Twigs Set.
BURNER SHUTTER SYSTEM
: Internal rotary Burner air shutter.
REFRACTORY PANELS
: Optional Curved Reflective Black and Silver Porcelain panels.
NATURAL GAS INFORMATION
: Factory equipped for Natural Gas. 4.5”WC Minimum inlet pressure required. For NG
applications, Burner Orifice Size is #42.
LPG INFORMATION
: LP conversion kit #HA-82-00507 is required. 12”WC Minimum inlet pressure required. For the
FV33-M LPG application, burner orifices are to be drill size #53. For higher altitude, adjustment to orifice size may be
necessary.
INITIAL STARTUP ADVICE
PAINT CURING CYCLE RECOMMENDATION
: It is recommended that you run this Insert on maximum flame height for
3 cycles of 1 hour ON and 1 hour OFF initially to cure the paint.
