Preparing a measurement
If the measurement is to be performed using one of the external sensors included in the
scope of delivery, this must be connected to the socket
of the PD Scan.
The device automatically detects the connected sensor after being switched on, and
offers a choice between the potential operating modes.
In preparation for an acoustic PD measurement, the headphones provided can either be
connected using the USB port
or be paired by means of Bluetooth (see chapter 6).
The headphones are used to reproduce the level measured acoustically. The acoustic
signal processing is only available in the acoustic measurements. No acoustic output
occurs in the operating modes

The volume of the headphones connected by cable can be adjusted in the settings
menu for the respective operating modes (see page 45). The volume of the Bluetooth
headphones can be controlled directly on the headphones by using the buttons provided
for this purpose.
