1.11 HEATING CYCLE
Heating circuit (See Figure 1-6) components
furnished by Mobile Climate Control include the
heater coils and a solenoid operated heat valve.
Components furnished by the bus manufacturer
include auxiliary heater and boost water pump. The
controller automatically controls the heat valve
during the heating and reheat modes to maintain
required temperatures inside the bus. Engine coolant
is circulated through the heating circuit by the engine
and an auxiliary boost water pump. When the heat
valve solenoid is energized, the valve will open to
allow engine coolant to flow through the heater coil.
The valve is normally closed so that if a failure occurs,
the system will be able to cool.
