Automatically reporting viruses
Viewing the World Virus Map
Whether or not you participate in the World Virus Map, you can view the latest
worldwide detection rates via the McAfee icon in your Windows system tray.
To view the World Virus Map:
Right-click the McAfee icon, point to
VirusScan
, then click
World Virus Map
.
The
World Virus Map
web page appears ( Figure 2-15 ).
By default, the World Virus Map shows the number of infected computers
worldwide over the past 30 days, and also when the reporting data was last
updated. You can change the map view to show the number of infected files, or
change the time period to show only the results over the past 7 days or the past 24
hours.
The
Virus Tracking
section lists cumulative totals for the number of scanned files,
infected files, and infected computers that have been reported since the date
shown.
