Check the hydraulic cylinder. With the plat-

form at vehicle

oor level, remove the hy-

draulic line from the

LOWER

port on the cyl-

inder

(FIG. 43-1)

. Hold the control switch in

the “

RAISE

” position for two seconds while

you watch for hydraulic

uid at the

LOWER

port. A few drops of hydraulic

uid escaping

the port is normal. However, if

uid streams

out, piston seals are worn. Replace seals.

Check pump oil

lter in the reservoir

(FIGS. 42-1 and 42-2)

. Clean or replace

lter, if necessary.
