Defining the Field Instrument Type
To define the type of field instrument you want to
calibrate, do the following:
1. Ensure that a BetaPort–DC module is installed in
one of the module bays, then press
CH1 or CH2 to
indicate the appropriate bay in which the DC
module is installed.
2. Use the Menu key to locate the Setup menu item
%Fnc , then press the corresponding function key to
display the following screen:
3. Press the corresponding function key to select the
type of field instrument you want to calibrate:
P/I ,
I/P , or Other .
4. If you select Other , the following screen will
display:
5. Do one of the following:

To indicate that you want the DC module to be
the field instrument input, select the function
key corresponding to the DC module’s present
channel.

To indicate that you want the DC module to be
the field instrument output, select the opposite
channel.
NOTE: Input and output references are with
respect to the field instrument.
