Installing or Replacing Video Input Modules
This section describes how to install or replace a video input module in the recorder. Each recorder
has one to three video modules: HDoC and/or PoE.
Important:
If you are replacing an analog video input module with an HDoC video input module,
any archived video from the analog video module becomes unavailable after the analog module is
removed. March Networks recommends that you export any essential archive video from the
analog module before replacing it. To retrieve archive video from the analog module after it has
been replaced, contact March Networks technical support.
WARNING:
The procedures contained in this section outline how to install components located
inside the unit, requiring the removal of the cover. These procedures are to be
performed by qualified service personnel only.
When working inside the unit, ensure you take anti-static precautions.
Do not operate the unit with the cover open.
