Feature Overview
Video Capture Rates
This section details the video inputs and associated video capture rates.
HDoC Cameras
The maximum supported resolution for HDoC cameras is 1080p.
The HDoC cameras have a recommended maximum of 30 FPS per channel.
Non-HD Analog Cameras
Resolution
— 8724 V models with 8 analog cameras support the following resolutions for analog cameras:
•
4CIF — 704 x 480 (NTSC) or 704 x 576 (PAL)
•
2CIF — 704 x 240 (NTSC) or 704 x 288 (PAL)
•
CIF — 352 x 240 (NTSC) or 352 x 288 (PAL)
FPS Values
— The FPS (frames per second) values are across all video inputs. Each NTSC camera
input supports up to 30 FPS and each PAL camera input up to 25 FPS.
•
NTSC: 30 FPS per channel (all 8 channels) = 240 FPS at 4CIF
•
PAL:
25 FPS per channel (all 8 channels) = 200 FPS at 4CIF
IP Cameras
The IP camera input capture rate is dependent on the resolution and quality of the images
captured.
The IP cameras have a recommended maximum of 30 FPS per channel at 4CIF.
HDoC Modules
Before you can use an HDoC module, you must provision it and manually add its channels to the
8724 V Tribrid NVR using the Discovery Browser software application (accessible from the
Administrator Console software).
The HDoC modules are configured by default with a generic static IP address. It is mandatory that
you provision the HDoC modules by changing the IP address of your HDoC modules so that they
are in the same subnet as the 8724 V Tribrid NVR’s camera interface IP address.
The procedure for this and for adding the High Definition and analog video channels from the HDoC
module to the 8724 V Tribrid NVR are all described in the
8724 V Tribrid NVR - HDoC Module User
Guide
, available from the March Networks Partner Portal website.
HDoC Camera Power
The HDoC camera module includes terminal blocks that provide power to connected cameras.
•
Per Camera Input — 5 W per camera input, 10 W per camera input pair.
Input pairs are:
•
1 & 2
•
3 & 4
•
5 & 6
•
7 & 8
•
Per Module — Maximum 40 W per HDoC module.
