Loosen the thumbscrews of the hard drive tray and remove the tray from the recorder.

When removing a hard drive that is already installed in the unit:
•
Disconnect the data cable and the power cable from the old hard drive.
Important:
If the data cables are not already labeled, it is strongly recommended that you
label them to identify which cable is for the hard drive in position 1 (on the right) and which
cable is for the hard drive in position 2 (on the left).
The power cable is a Y cable: one cable connects to the main circuit board, then branches
into two cables that connect to the two hard drives. If there is only one hard drive installed
in the unit, the second power connection is unused.
•
Leave the power and data cables attached to the main circuit board, as you will use them to
connect to the new hard drive.
