Remove the recorder unit from the bracket and put it aside.

Cut a hole in the wall where you marked the cable routing opening.
10 Ensure the mounting locations that you marked allow you to insert the screws into a wall stud
(metal or wood support) rather than drywall.
If both the mounting locations are in a wall stud, thread the screws directly into the wall stud.
Note:
March Networks recommends that the screws that hold the mounting bracket and the
unit itself are inserted into wall studs (metal or wood support), not drywall.
11 Lift up the recorder and hang it on the bracket again (door hinge on left side, key hole on right side).
12 Install the upper and lower mounting screws in the recorder unit to secure the unit to the wall.
Installing or Replacing the Hard Drives
This section describes how to install or replace a hard drive in the recorder. Each recorder has one
or two removable hard drives.
WARNING:
The procedures contained in this section outline how to install components located
inside the unit, requiring the removal of the cover. These procedures are to be
performed by qualified service personnel only.
When working inside the unit, ensure you take anti-static precautions.
Do not operate the unit with the cover open.
To install or replace a hard drive

Unplug the unit and wait for the LEDs on the door to turn off.

Unlock and open the cover door.
The hard drive tray can contain one or two hard drives, depending on the unit configuration.
Position 1 is on the right of the hard drive tray, position 2 is on the left of the tray.
