ICE FORMATION PATTERN IB MODELS
Tubing routing for Ice Beverage evaporators is
different. The evaporator outlet is moved lower on the
evaporator.
•
IB600 and IB800 evaporators outlets exit roughly
1/2 way down the evaporator. Extremely Thin at
the Evaporator Outlet will first be visible near the
middle of the evaporator
•
IB1000 evaporator outlet is roughly 3/4 of the way
down the evaporator. Extremely Thin at the
Evaporator Outlet will first be visible near the
bottom and then the right side of the evaporator.
Extremely Thin at the Evaporator Inlet remains the
same as the other models and will first be visible
several inches above the bottom of the evaporator.
Ice Formation Patterns

Normal Ice Formation
Ice forms across the entire evaporator surface.
At the beginning of the Freeze cycle, it may appear
that more ice is forming at the evaporator inlet, than on
the evaporator outlet. At the end of the Freeze cycle,
ice formation at the outlet will be close to, or just a bit
thinner than, ice formation at the inlet. The dimples in
the cubes at the outlet of the evaporator may be more
pronounced than those at the inlet. This is normal.
It is normal for ice thickness to vary up to 1/16" across
the surface of the evaporator. The ice bridge thickness
at the ice thickness control probe should be at least
1/8".
