Product Description
2.1
Intended Use
Maier rotary joints are only permitted to be used as fittings to connect pressurized pipes to
rotating pressurized systems. Typical examples of such rotating pressurized systems are roll-
ers which are heated or cooled by means of liquids or steam flowing through them. Series
DP rotary joints are designed preferably for application with water. Series DP … 800 is avail-
able for application with thermal oil. Other mediums may be possible; please contact the
manufacturer. Please refer to the section "Specifications and Spare Parts" for approved me-
diums as well as their qualities and limits; this information must be observed in the applica-
tion.
Never modify the rotary joint as this can cause hazards. Install, operate and maintain the ro-
tary joint only as described in these operating instructions. We shall not be liable for any
damages and operational disruptions whatsoever resulting from failure to adhere to the op-
erating instructions.
Always comply with all national and local regulations applicable at the place of installation
concerning operational safety and the prevention of accidents.
For repairs, use only genuine Maier spare parts or standardized components explicitly ap-
proved by Maier. Using any other components can have adverse effects on the safety of the
unit.
