Troubleshooting
Problem

relief holes

install a new mechanical seal
check the quality of the
medium and the condition of
the bearings

overhaul or repair; observe
the lubrication intervals!
replace rotary joint if dam-

inspection of the rotary joint
and the system.
leakage at sealing
points
flat packing or sealing
element damaged
screw torque of connec-
tion insufficient
replace flat packing or sealing
element during the next
planned shutdown. If there is
considerable leakage, imme-
diately put the rotary joint out
of operation.
tighten the screws with the
correct torque as per section
"S Specifications and Spare
parts". Do not overload
screws as this will destroy
them. Immediately replace
overloaded screws!
