The Battery
9
After the first (24-hour) charge, the total time to fully charge a
fully discharged battery is approximately 10 hours.
The charging cradle is provided with an LED that indicates
battery charge status by blinking and changing color, as seen in
the accompanying chart.
Charger Mode Definitions:
Fault :
Charger input or output is below the minimum threshold
for normal operation. Short circuit on charge terminals or
component failure is detected.
Pre-Conditioning :
Battery is deeply depleted/discharged. Cradle
will charge battery at a reduced rate until battery reaches a level
that is safe for normal charging, it will then proceed to
Charging mode.
Charging :
Cradle will charge the battery at normal charge rate,
for up to 10 hours.
Maintenance :
Charge cycle is complete. The system may remain
in the Maintenance mode indefinitely (as long as the light is left in
the charging cradle). The charging cradle may return to Charging
mode (ORANGE) after several hours in order to maintain the
battery’s charge level while it sits in the cradle.
Cradle Empty:
There is no flashlight detected in the
charging cradle.
