Alternatively, another helper may hold it
steady.
• If the occupant is not being lifted into the
product, align the front wheels with the back
wheels. Place the occupant’s feet on the
ground between the front wheels, one foot just
forward of the other and lower gently into the
seat. The occupant may assist by holding the
product’s front legs.
• Fasten the harness and adjust the strap lengths.
Belt and shoulder harness should be snug.
Replace the footrest at the appropriate height.
• Take note of how the occupant wishes to
move or be moved. Cooperation will reduce
the risk of injury occurring during lifting and
manoeuvring operations.
• Do not allow the occupant to climb unassisted
into the seat.
GETTING OUT OF THE MAJOR ELITE
• Ensure both parking devices are ON and the
footrest is removed.
• If possible, place the back of the product
squarely against a wall or secure object.
Alternatively, another helper may hold it
steady.
• Align the front swivel wheels with the rear
wheels to allow room for the occupant’s feet.
• Unfasten the harness clasp and if necessary
unclip the shoulder straps.
• If the occupant is not being lifted out of the
product, they should grasp each front leg
and bending slightly forward, place both feet
firmly on the ground, one forward of the other.
The occupant should then push upward to a
standing position with assistance if necessary.
The Major Elite is a lightweight folding Transport
Chair developed for journeys of short duration
for occupants up to 50 kg who are without
significant postural instability and need minimal
support.

• To adapt the seat for a smaller occupant, a pair
of Lateral Inserts is available.
• The product must be operated by a responsible
caregiver at all times.
• Ensure that all the locking devices are engaged
before use.
• Never leave a child unattended in the product.
• This product is intended for use by one
occupant only.
• This seat unit is not suitable for children under
six (6) months.
• Always use the restraint system.
• This product is not suitable for running or
skating.
• Always apply the parking devices when the
product is stationary.
• Do not stand on the footrest.
• Do not let children play with or hang on the
product.
• Do not use the product in a manner for which
it is not designed.

IMPORTANT-DANGER:
It is important that
great care is taken to ensure that children are
kept well clear of the product when folding or
unfolding. Finger traps and scissoring actions
are unavoidable during these operations.
• It is important for the occupants safety that
the harness be correctly fitted and adjusted
(especially after replacement for washing
purposes). If not adjusted correctly in
accordance with the instructions the safety of
your child and stability of the product will be
impaired.
• Any load attached to the handle and/or on
the back of the backrest and/or on the sides
of the unit will affect the stability of the
product.
• The product may be folded with the shopping
basket still attached but all contents must
be removed. Failure to do this could damage
product.
• Accessories which are not approved by
the manufacturer shall not be used. Only
replacement parts supplied or recommended
by the manufacturer/distributor shall be used.
Any damage caused by the use of accessories
not recommended will not be covered by the
terms of our warranty.
• The harness and seat belt are not a substitute
for proper adult supervision.
• Follow all instructions carefully. Incorrect use
will cause damage to product.
• Do not leave the product exposed to heat e.g.
by an open fire, exposed flame, radiator or in
direct sunlight.
• Never leave occupant in the product when
ascending or descending escalators or when
travelling on other forms of transport.
• This is designed for use on flat or gently
sloping surfaces and may be unstable on
higher sloping and uneven surfaces.
• This product must NOT be used as a seat
while travelling in a motor vehicle or public
transport.
• Hold on to your transport chair when close
to moving road vehicles or trains. Even with
the parking devices on, the draught from the
vehicle may move the transport chair.

• Ensure both parking devices are ON.
• To make access easier, the footrest can be
removed.
• If possible, place the back of the product
squarely against a wall or secure object.
