This product is designed and manufactured to comply with ASTM
F833:07a Standard Consumer Safety Performance Specification
for Carriages and Strollers, The Soft Carry Cot is designed
and manufactured to comply with EN1466;2004 EN1888:2003
• Never use the carry cot on a stand.
• Do not use a separate mattress in the carry cot.
• Carry cot should not be used for sleeping for long periods.
• Carrycot must be connected to the pushchair by the two
side clips before placing your child in it.
• The carrycot must not be used without all stiffeners installed.
• Use a harness when transporting your child in this carrycot
(Harness purchased separately) and the cover should always
be zipped into place when carrying the child.
• Do not let other children play unattended near the
soft carry cot.
• Do not use if any part is broken, torn or missing.
• Inspect handles and bottom regularly for signs of
damage and wear.
• NEVER
leave child unattended.
• Be aware of the risk of open fire and other sources of
strong heat, such as electric bar fires, gar fires etc., in the
vicinity of the carry cot.
strangulation hazard:
• Child can strangle in loose straps. NEVER leave child in
the product when straps are loose or undone. Do not allow
the carry-straps to fall inside the carrycot.
• Take care to hold the Soft Carry Cot by BOTH handles.
• The Soft Carry Cot should NOT be used to transport your
child in a car. It is NOT designed as an Infant Car Seat.

maintenance and repair
• This transport system requires regular maintenance by
the user.
• Regularly check all rivets and connecting devices for
tightness and security.
• Inspect all brakes, wheels and tyres and replace or repair
if necessary.
• Check all safety devices for correct operation, in particular
the primary and secondary locks. These should be free
to move at all times.
• Never continue to use a product that is not structurally sound.
• We recommend a service every 12 months.
• If wheels squeak, lubricate sparingly with WD40 Teflon
or silicone coating.Do NOT use oil or grease based products,
as this will attract dirt, which will clog the movement.
• Only Maclaren replacement parts should be used. It
may be unsafe to use replacement parts other than those
supplied by Maclaren.
washing and care instructions
• Clean the frame with a damp cloth and a mild detergent
and dry thoroughly, do not use abrasives.
• If the stroller chassis parts have been exposed to salt water
we recommend that they be rinsed down with fresh (tap)
water as soon as possible afterwards.
• The hood may be sponged lightly using a damp cloth and
mild detergent.
• The seat cover and other softgoods may be washed by
following the directions on the care label attached to the
item. Ensure all items are dried thoroughly before replacing
or using them on the product. Failure to dry the fabrics
thoroughly could lead to the formation of mildew.
• The soft carrycot may be washed by unfastening the Velcro
strips on the 5 stiffener pockets – Remove the stiffeners –
wash the fabric body following the directions on the fabric
care label affixed to the fabric – ensure the Soft Carry Cot
body is thoroughly dry. The padding may still be wet when
the face fabric feels dry. Failure to dry the fabrics thoroughly
could lead to the formation of mildew – when thoroughly
dry, insert the stiffeners into the pockets and seal the pockets
with the Velcro. The carrycot must not be used without all
stiffeners installed.
