Adding Electrolyte to the Battery

Before servicing batteries, consult the battery manufacturer

’

s instructions for proper procedures and safety

precautions.

CAUTION

Do not attempt to service battery unless you have the proper equipment and experience to perform the
job. Have it done by a qualified Dealer.

Keep all smoking materials, sparks, and flames away
from electrolyte container and battery. Gas given off by
electrolyte is explosive.

WARNING

•

Battery electrolyte causes severe burns. Avoid
contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear protective
eyewear and heavy gloves.

•

If electrolyte is spilled or splashed on clothing or on
the body, neutralize it immediately with a solution of
baking soda and water, then rinse with clean water.

•

Electrolyte splashed into the eyes is extremely
dangerous. Should this occur, force the eye open, and
flood with cool, clean water for 5 minutes. Call a
doctor immediately.

DANGER

To avoid bodily injury or death from unexpected startup
of the machine, always stop the engine and remove the key from the ignition before leaving the operator
