Door opener
At the units, the connection terminals have been reworked to simplify
installation. In addition, the door release connection was modified to
a potential-free relay output. The door opener can be connected as
follows:
1. via the operating voltage of the outdoor unit
For this purpose, connection 1 of the door release is connected to
terminal 11, connection 2 of the door release to ground / GND (e.
g. terminal A2). A bridge of +15V (e. g. A1) to terminal 10 is also
required.
2. with an external voltage source (e. g. bell transformer,
max. 15V/1A)
Separate cables from the external power source to the door opener and
to the external unit are required. Port 1 of the door opener is directly
connected to port 1 of the external voltage source. Connection 2 of the
door release is connected to terminal 11, connection 2 of the external
voltage source is connected to terminal 10.
Power supply
We recommend feeding the power supply at the star point, as shown
in the connection example. If this is not possible, the power supply
can also be connected directly to the outdoor or indoor unit. The power
supply is then connected to terminals A1 and A2 or terminals 1 and 2.
The positive pole is connected to terminal A1 (or 1), the negative pole
to terminal A2 (or 2).
If there are more than two indoor units connected in parallel, we
recommend using the DT 2000 DIN rail power supply unit. In individual
cases, a second power supply may be necessary. If this is the case,
connect the second power supply to the furthest distant unit.
NOTE
: In case of image and/or sound interference, the following
measures can help to eliminate the interference:
Connect the ground / GND cable to the equipotential bonding bar.
Connect the shielding of the line at the neutral point to the equipo-
tential bonding line, in this case the ground / GND line must not be
connected to the equipotential bonding line.
In rare cases, the shielding must be connected to ground (GND) and/or
the equipotential bonding shield on both sides.
Connecting an external camera
An external camera can be connected to this screw terminal (figure 2)
in order, for example, to provide additional monitoring of areas that
cannot be seen by the main camera. All cameras can be connected that
require operating voltage of 12 V DC and supply an FBAS video signal.
The video line is connected to the terminal (VIDEO IN) and the earth
line to the terminal (GND), operating voltage for the camera is taken
from the terminals ‘+12V DC OUT’ (positive pole) and ‘GND’ (negative
pole). The external camera automatically has the ID 4 (see chapter on
ID code).
No sound transmission is possible when the external camera is active.
POSSIBLE SETTINGS
The outdoor station offers the following possibilities to set the system
to your personal circumstances:
Volume of the outdoor station
The potentiometer (7) is used to set the volume on the outdoor station.
To set the highest volume, turn the potentiometer carefully clockwise
as far as possible. Reduce the volume by turning in an anti-clockwise
direction.
ID code
If several outdoor stations are switched in parallel (e.g. at the gate ent-
rance and the house) then the ID code is set via the dip switch (9). This
makes it possible to activate the individual outdoor units in sequence,
e.g. in order to monitor the coverage of the relevant outdoor unit. The
switch is carried out on the indoor station with the ‘monitor’ switch.
ID1 = Switch 1 ‘on’ Switch 2 ‘on’
ID2 = Switch 1 ‘off’ Switch 2 ‘on’
ID3 = Switch 1 ‘off’ Switch 2 ‘off’
Opening time of the door opener
The DIP switch (8) is used to set the time the door opener remains
activated. The options are either 1 second or 5. The factory setting is 5
seconds, which works for most conventional door openers.
Switch to the left to “5S” for 5 seconds open time.
Switch to the right to “1S” for 1 second open time.
OPERATION
1. Press the bell push-button.
2. The preset ring tone sounds on its inside station/s and the screen
displays the outside station view.
3. Accept the dialogue on the inside unit by briefly pressing the press-
to-talk button (MOUTH).
4. If an additional camera is present at the outside station, you may
switch over to this camera by pressing the “MONITOR” button.
Pressing the „Monitor“ button again switches you back to the
internal camera.
5. If a door opener is connected then you can activate the door
opener by pressing briefly on the door opener button (KEY).
6. Switch the system back to standby operation by briefly pressing the
speak button (MOUTH).
