Figure 1-5. Power warning label
The proper operating voltage for the chassis is identified on a label, like the one
shown in Figure 1-6. This label is located on the top of the chassis. It also identifies
the chassis part number, which can be used to verify the operating voltage of the
unit. Only units labeled for -48/-60-volt operation (part number 0700-0901-001 Rev
11, or later) can operate with nominal supply voltages of -48Vdc or -60Vdc. Units
that are not labeled, or are labeled for -48Vdc operation (part number
0700-0901-001 Rev 10, or earlier) must be installed in environments that use a
standard nominal supply voltage of -48Vdc.
!
Caution
When replacing power filters in the field, do not replace a -48/-60Vdc
power filter (part number 0800-0931-001 Rev C, or later) with one that is designated
only for -48Vdc operation (part number 0800-0931-001 Rev B, or earlier). However,
-48Vdc power filters may be replaced with -48/-60Vdc power filters.

Verifying the operating voltage of the modules
All Stinger modules are capable of operating in chassis designated for use with a
nominal supply voltage of -48Vdc. The modules and revisions listed in Table 1-1 are
designed and tested to also function properly in Stinger chassis designated for use
CAUTION !
ATTENTION !
When this product is installed in a -60V DC
(TNV-2) environment, use only circuit packs
which have been identified as suitable for
this application. Please refer to the
