7.2 Electrode
Type
The HPT63 can scale its pH input readings to operate with either a glass or antimony
electrode. This sets the isopotential point, for a glass electrode this is 7.00pH, for an
antimony electrode it is 0.00pH.
7.3 Temperature
Input
The HPT63 has a very accurate temperature measurement facility. The user can
apply either automatic or manual temperature compensation to the pH measurement.
The operator can select between these two modes of operation by selecting the
Temp Comp
menu item within the
Parameters
menu. Note the temperature input
must be enabled under the Configuration menu (see Section 12.2). It is also possible
to select the temperature sensor type in this menu. When the manual mode of
operation is selected, the user can enter the fixed process temperature under the
Fixed Temp
menu.
Note: When the automatic mode is selected the
Fixed Temp
menu will not be
present.
Note: When the unit detects a fault in the temperature sensor it will default to using
the
Fixed Temp
setting for compensation purposes.
The operator can also select to display all temperatures in either
°
C or
°
F by selecting
the
Temp Units
menu. All temperature related displays will reflect the units selected
in this menu.
Note: The system will under normal conditions convert all temperature related
variables when the units are changed, however it may be wise for the operator
to ensure that changing the units has not altered the set points or current
outputs.
