The
Parameters
menu contains the basic configurations for the sensor inputs. The
various parameters can be changed using the method described in
Section 4.3

7.1 Units
The HPT63 can be set up as either a pH or a Redox instrument. This is achieved by
simply setting the appropriate units (either pH or mV). The rest of the menu structure
for the instrument responds by enabling and disabling the appropriate menu items
(e.g. the slope calibration menu is disabled when mV are selected). When “mV” are
selected the instrument displays the unprocessed input voltage to the electrode
terminals, this can also be used as a diagnostic tool for pH measurements. All
appropriate set point levels etc. have their units changed automatically.
When pH is selected the HPT63 will automatically apply the correct temperature
compensation and electrode type to the mV input to provide a display of pH. All of
the set point units etc. will then be changed to pH. The temperature compensation is
referenced to either the measured input temperature or a fixed user selectable
temperature (which one, depends on the temperature compensation mode, see
Section 7.3 Temperature Input
).
