INFORMATION ABOUT MAINTENANCE

5.5 Check coolant level

NOTE:

Before proceeding with any operation on

the engine, stop it and allow it to cool.

Important

• Place engine on horizontal surface to ensure accurate

measurement of checking.

Warning

• Presence of steam pressurized coolant danger of burns.

Start the engine without the cap A on the tank B.

Unscrew the screw

and fill the tank

until the coolant

comes out from the screw

NOTE:

The MAX filling level for the tank B is

indicated by the "LEVEL” mark.

Reinstall the cap

and capscrew

NOTE: For coolant filling see

Par. 4.6

Warning

• Before starting make sure that the radiator cap and cap, if

present, are installed correctly to avoid spillage of liquid or

vapour at high temperatures.

5.6 Zinc anode, intercooler and radiator check

Warning

• Protect the starter motor adequately against contact with

liquids before starting operations.

Unscrew the screw A from the raiser B.

Replace the component A if the value

is lower than 8

mm.

Unscrew the cap

to drain all the liquid contained in the

engine crankcase ducts into a suitable container and see

Par. 3.5.
