1 Please observe the following
Hints in Handling the UVALOC 400
To protect your skin and your eyes wear
UV protective glasses and protective
gloves during
– operation and
– when placing and removing part from
under the lamp.
If the UV lamp is switched off, wait at least
5 minutes to let the UV lamp cool off
before switching on again.
If the lamp switches off, check the points
described in section 6.

As a result of technical development, the illustrations and descriptions in this operating
manual can deviate from the actual unit delivered.
1.4 Field of Application (Intended Usage)
The UVALOC System is suitable for the UVA and visible light curing of Loctite UV
products. It can be used at workstations such as in shops and laboratories. It is used for
applications permitting manual loading.
The lamp’s emission spectrum (UVA) and radiant power capacity have been designed
specifically to meet the requirements of UV-curable Loctite adhesives.
The UVALOC System is a modular system. It includes a power unit with integrated
power switch, hour meter and ballast as well as a stand, a lamphouse with the bulb, the
reflector and the ignition capacitor/starter unit.
The work surface is covered by a special silicone rubber mat which resists UV
deterioration and chemical attack. Over time, the mat and also the protection curtain may
soften and need replacing.
