5 Adjustments for Curing
– Surfaces to be cured should be positioned within the area of optimum radiation output
as close as possible to the bulb.
– Part holders should be made of materials with good temperature resistance (such as
aluminum) and not reflecting surface.
5.1 Area of Optimum Radiation and Lighting Output
The UV System 97039 is designed for uniform distribution of intensity.
The position of the reflector / lamp housing is adjustable up or down to control the
amount of UV light irradiated onto the part and product. Increasing the distance will result
in increased cure times and vice versa.
The position and exposure time required to complete the curing process must be initially
determined.
The intensity values shown in the illustration below are average values. The data are
meant as an assistance, in order to achieve the desired curing.
