• When you encounter muscle soreness, hold your position for 5–60
seconds. Hold longer when working with larger muscle groups or very
tight muscles.
• Use a consistent, downward pressure. As you are releasing tight, sore
muscles, some pain is normal. Always listen to your body and never push
beyond your limits. If you feel sharp or intense pain or numbness, stop.
• Increase the intensity of the self-myofascial release by increasing the
amount of your weight that you place on the FlexiMod.
• Focus on your breathing. Breathe deeply and steadily, in and out.
• Use the FlexiMod for 10–15 minute sessions, up to three times per day.
• Always stay hydrated before and after the massage session.
• To locate your psoas muscles: place both hands on your hip bones and
then move your fingers in toward your belly button.
EXERCISE SAFETY
• Always maintain control and move slowly while using the massager.
• Always do a short 5 minute warm up to warm your muscles and prevent
injury.
• Wear comfortable athletic shoes with non-slip soles.
• Use a dry towel to wipe sweat off the surface of the FlexiMod before
use and during the massage, as needed.
• Never use the FlexiMod while intoxicated. Do not use the FlexiMod
during or immediately after eating or when you feel tired. Do not use if
injured, ill, or if you have a fever.
• Do not perform other activities while using the FlexiMod to avoid
accidents or injury.
• Always inspect the FlexiMod for damage before use.
