HOW TO USE
BROIL
Your oven is designed for CLOSED DOOR broiling.

Place the food on the grid of the broiler pan.

Follow suggested rack positions in the Broiling Guide.

The oven door must be closed to begin broiling.
The oven door must be closed during broiling.

Touch the
BROIL
key once for
Hi
and twice for
Lo
.

Touch the
START
key.

When broiling is finished, touch the
CLEAR OFF
key.
Serve the food immediately, and place the pan outside the
oven to cool during the meal for easiest cleaning.
Use
LO Broil
to cook foods such as poultry or thick cuts of
meat thoroughly without over-browning them.
NOTE
If the oven door remains open for more than 15
seconds during broil the burner will shut off. The broil
burner will automatically come back on once the door
is closed.
CAUTION

DO NOT
use the broiler pan without the grid.

DO NOT
cover the broil pan or grid with aluminum foil.
Exposed grease could ignite.
y
To prevent food from contacting the broil burner and to
prevent grease splattering, do not use the roasting rack
when broiling.
NOTE
y
Some smoke may occur during broiling. This is
normal.
Always use the broiler pan and grid that
came with your oven. It is designed to
minimize smoking and spattering by
trapping juices in the shielded
lower part of the pan.
