Stereo/Dual Reception (In Analog Mode Only)
Whenever you switch channels or press the
INFO
or
OK
button in analog TV mode,
you can see the sound information of the current channel.
Mono sound selection
If the stereo signal is weak in stereo reception, you can switch to mono by pressing
the
I/II
button twice. In mono reception, the clarity of sound is improved. To switch
back to stereo, press the
I/II
button twice.
Language selection for dual language broadcast
If a programme can be received in two languages (dual language), you can switch to Dual1, Dual2 by pressing the
button repeatedly.
Dual1
Sends the primary broadcast language to the loudspeakers.
Dual2
Sends the secondary broadcast language to the loudspeakers.
NICAM Reception (In Analog Mode Only)
If the TV is equipped with a receiver for NICAM reception, high quality NICAM (Near Instantaneous Companding Audio
Multiplex) digital sound can be received.
Sound output can be selected according to the type of broadcast received by pressing the button repeatedly.

Audio Language Selection (In Digital Mode only)
If the current programme is available in multiple audio languages, you can select the language you prefer.

Press the
I/II
button.

Select an audio language you prefer using the
∧/∨
button to change audio
immediately.

Select the audio direction (left, right, stereo) using the
</>
button.
NOTE
You can select the default audio language in
DTV SETUP–Preferences–
Language Setting–Audio Language
menu.
If you select
Compressed
in
DTV SETUP-Preferences-Language Setting-Audio Priority
menu. the programme is
automatically broadcasted in the compressed audio regardless of default audio language.
If the programme is broadcast in the compressed bitstream audio signal, you cannot set the audio direction.
