B29. SLIDING ROOF

Check that the sliding roof with the en-
gine switch is in the “IG
−
ON” mode.
a) Operation
1. Check the tilt function—open and
close.
2. Check the manual open function of
the sliding roof by turning the
switch. The sliding roof can be
opened in 7 steps by changing the
position of the switch.
3. Check the automatic open function
of the sliding roof by pushing the
switch. The sliding roof should au-
tomatically slide to the fully
opened position.
Note: To stop travel of the sliding roof
when it is in the automatic open mode,
pushing the switch again.
4. To close the sliding roof, push the
switch. The sliding roof should au-
tomatically slide to the fully closed
position.
5. The sun shade can be opened or
closed manually; however, the sun
shade will automatically open with
the sliding roof.
6. Check that the sliding roof can be
fully operated after the engine
switch has been selected in the
“ACC” or “OFF” mode.
Note: Even if the engine switch is “OFF”
mode, the sliding roof can be operated
until one either front door is opened (or
for about 45 seconds)
