Using the fax setup wizard in the printer
Notes:
•
The setup wizard is available only if no device
‑
based fax, such as analog, etherFAX, or Fax over IP (FoIP),
is configured.
•
Before using the wizard, make sure that the printer firmware is updated. For more information, see
“Updating firmware” on page 44 .

From the home screen, touch Fax .

Touch Set up now .

Type the fax name, and then touch Next .

Enter the fax number and then touch Done .
Using the Settings menu in the printer

From the home screen, touch Settings > Fax > Fax Setup > General Fax settings .

Configure the settings.
Using the Embedded Web Server

Open a web browser, and then type the printer IP address in the address field.
Notes:
•
View the printer IP address on the home screen. The IP address appears as four sets of numbers
separated by periods, such as 123.123.123.123.
•
If you are using a proxy server, then temporarily disable it to load the web page correctly.

Click Settings > Fax > Fax Setup > General Fax Settings .
