The drive's logic command manager (

) uses these bits
as inputs rather than referring directly to the terminals. This
enables the user to define the use for each drive terminal
according to the needs of each application. Although these
are read/write type parameters, they are volatile and are not
stored when the drive is powered down. Each time the drive
is powered up they will be reset to Disabled (0).
