Cleaning the retort sieve
Use ethanol or xylene to clean the sieve located at the bottom of the retort. For convenience, the sieve
may be taken out to remove all solid dirt.
Note
Make sure that nothing falls into the drain hole when the sieve is removed for cleaning purpose.
Checking the retort lid seal
Regularly check the retort lid seal for damage. If the seal is damaged, it must be replaced without delay.
The retort lid sealing must be inspected at least once a year. Contact Leica Biosystems Technical
Service for the inspection/replacement service.
Cleaning the display
Clean the screen using a lint-free cloth.
Note
The touchscreen may be triggered during cleaning. Clean the touchscreen whilst there is not a
program currently running.

the reagent bottles with corresponding reagents.
Note
The level can be identified by simply looking through the reagent bottles if these are cleaned
regularly to remove clinging contamination.
