12. LOCATION OF THE PRODUCT
The fuel floor (parquet type) must be protected with special flame-
retardant plates (stainless steel, marble, tiles, etc.) to protect it from
radiant heat and the possible combustion of hot residues from
opening the door. Minimum distances from combustible materials
should be respected according to the requirements here indicated or
in the technical data sheet The chimney must be at least 50 cm away
from heat-sensitive building elements or flammable materials (wood
cladding, beams or ceilings, etc.)
For proper operation, the generator must be placed perfectly on a
horizontal (level) plane.
The appliance must be installed on a floor of adequate load capacity.
If the existing construction does not meet this requirement,
appropriate measures (ex: load distribution plate) should be taken.
The installation of the appliance must ensure easy
access to the cleaning and maintenance of the
appliance itself, the exhaust ducts and the chimney.
The appliance must be installed using the anti-vibration feet supplied
as standard. The anti-vibration mount, interposed between the
chimney and the supporting floor, significantly reduces the vibrations
harmful to the structures and annoying for people, leading to a
significant reduction in noise. We therefore advise against the
permanent anchoring of the fireplace to the floor by using cement or
hardening materials, to avoid vibrations and resonance phenomena
generated by the fans mounted on the appliance.
MINIMUM DISTANCES FROM FLAMMABLE MATERIALS:
A = 29 cm (Distance from the back)
B = 34 cm (Distance from side walls)
C = 100 cm (Distance from the glass of the appliance)
D = 60 cm (a protective plate of the floor made of flammable material)
E = 12 cm (Distance from inflammable floor)
These measures can be reduced using insulating
materials. Refer to the technical data sheet of the
insulating product that you will use to comply with local
and national regulations.
Keep all flammable material like wooden furniture,
curtains, carpets and flammable fluids at least 100 cm
from the appliance when operating.
MINIMUM
DISTANCES
FROM
NON-FLAMMABLE
MATERIALS:
In the case of non-flammable materials it is
necessary to maintain a lateral and posterior distance of
at least 10 cm.
These distances are indispensable for cooling the body and for the
ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of your appliance.
13. COATING: AIR INPUT , INSPECTION AND
CANALIZATION
COATING
The coating must be self-supporting and flame-retardant (calcium-
silicate) and can not be in contact with the appliance.
The coating (non-flammable) must respect a distance of
at least 30 mm from the structure of the appliance and
at least 5 mm from the frame of the chimney door.
Do not install wooden beams or any other
flammable material on the hood above the appliance:
danger of fire.
The front fairing above the door is one of the hottest parts of
the appliance, so be very careful when making the front
cover of the hood and any cover you are going to make
(paints, stucco, adhesives, porcelain stoneware slabs,
etc...); check the technical data sheet of the aforementioned
materials for their suitability for high temperatures and also
pay attention to thermal expansions that could generate
cracks or breaks in them (the manufacturer declines any
responsibility for damage to the coating).
To avoid these possible inconveniences, we strongly
recommend making the coating using calcium silicate
panels or at least to internally insulate at least the front
hood with a semi-rigid 3 cm rock wool panel with
aluminum foil (eg Rockwool Firerock), rock wool in
contact with the plasterboard, aluminum foil facing the
chimney, leaving in this case a minimum distance from
the appliance of at least 20 mm.
It is forbidden to use flammable
materials (such as wood) for
the
construction
of
the
supporting structure of the
cladding (which must be self-
supporting and not in contact
with the appliance), instead use
components in aluminum or
galvanized steel.
If your appliance is equipped
with air slots on the front fairing,
it is forbidden to position the
uprights of the frame for the
