17. ALLOWED INSTALLATIONS
Smokestack diameter has to be adequate to its
height as per the following sketches.
The use of insulated smokestacks is high recommended in all the
following cases:
- all outside smokestacks.
- when getting through non heated attics or mansards
- very long segments (over 4 meters) inside the apartment.).
Ø A = flue diameter in mm
H = Flue height in
meters (m)

However in Italy wall exhaust of combustion gas is straightly
forbidden by all national, regional and local regulations, in some
European countries it is allowed. Following sketches are wall exhaust
examples for those countries where it allowed.
18. NOT ALLOWED INSTALLATIONS
1) Two or more stoves connected to the same smokestack.
2) Stove and fireplace connected to the same smokestack.
For all countries, respect all local and national regulations in force.
19. CROSSING ROOFS/CEILING INFLAMMABLES
Be very careful when getting through walls, ceilings or roofs made of
flammable materials. The high smoke temperatures can start a fire.
Do always respect the safety distances as per UNI 10683 Italian
regulation. For all other countries, respect all local and national
regulations in force.
A = isolated double-walled tube
B = flammable material
X = The distance indicated on the chimney plate GXXX in mm
20. EXTERNAL AIR INLET CONNECTION
The outside air intake must have a minimum Ø of 100 mm.
UNI 10683 or local and national regulations must be respected for the
size and presence of external air intake.
In the presence of gas appliances of type B with intermittent operation
not intended for heating, an aeration and / or ventilation opening must
be dedicated to them.
The air inlets must meet the following requirements:
• be protected by grids, wire meshes, etc., without reducing, however,
the net useful section;
• be made so as to make maint
enance operations possible;
• positioned in such a way that they cannot be obstructed;
The flow of clean and uncontaminated air can also be obtained from a
room adjacent to the installation one (indirect ventilation and
ventilation) provided that this flow can take place freely through
permanent openings communicating with the outside. The adjacent
room cannot be used as a garage, a warehouse for combustible
material or in any case for activities involving a fire, bathroom,
bedroom or common area of the building.
The appliance can be connected directly to the air inlet with a tube. Ø
80 mm. In this case the maximum length of the connection can be a
tube of 1 meter and maximum a 90 ° curve
If you have problems with ignition or live in humid
areas, we recommend that you do not connect the
appliance directly to the outside air intake. The moisture
from the outside prevents the ignition of the pellet and
may cause problems with the spark plug.
