GENERATOR OPERATION

TROUBLESHOOTING

ELEMENTAL PROBLEMS - Common generator alerts and solutions:

Problem

Solution

The main switch indicator light illuminated RED when the
generator key is turned ON

Check the following components, verify that they are in the correct position:
* Gearshift Lever is in the PARK position
* The Parking Brake lever is up and locked
* The accelerator pedal is not being depressed
* The generator's Emergency Stop button is OFF (in the out position)

The Safety Switch trips OFF

* The generator may be at risk of overload - reduce the amount of electrical load
* After reducing the load, wait three minutes and restart the generator

The engine shuts off in G-MODE

To reset:
* Turn the Generator and the Main Ignition keyed switches to OFF
* Turn the Main Ignition Switch ON and restart the engine
* Use the Generator Switch and re-engage the G-MODE

The Fault Indicator Light is illuminated RED

The engine temperature is low. Operate the engine without the generator so it
can achieve the proper operating temperature.

The Fault Indicator Flashes (The KYMCO diagnostic tool will
show the fault codes - see the table on page 80 of this manual)

There are anomalies or failures parts related to the generator. Stop using the
generator immediately and return your vehicle to your KYMCO dealer for
inspection.

NOTE: If you encounter a fault that is not immediately and simply rectified by operating the vehicle or the generator as

outlined in this manual, contact your KYMCO dealer for technical assistance.
