ENGAGING
THE
GENERATOR
STEP 1 Stop vehicle and allow engine to idle.
STEP 2 Move the gear shift lever to the "PARK" position (verify that the vehicle is in PARK via the icon on the dash).
STEP 3 Engage the Parking Brake Lever.
STEP 4 Verify that Emergency Stop Button has not been depressed (reset the button if needed).
STEP 5 Verify the GFCI breaker is off and no cords or devices are plugged into any output socket.
STEP 6 Verify that a ground wire has been connected to the Generator Control Panel and to a proper foundation (follow proper
grounding procedures according to local requirements and statutes).
Insert the Generator Key and rotate the switch to the “ON” position.
The 'Safety Status' light below the Generator Key Switch will illuminate green if all safety criteria have been met and
the generator is deemed ready for use.
If 'Safety Status' light is red, recheck STEPs 1 - 5.
Press the green button labeled with the letter "G" to engage the generator.
NOTE: The generator will not engage until the engine has reached the proper operating temperature. The
'Generator Systems Alarm' light will be illuminated in RED until the engine reaches operating temperature
(once the operating temperature has been achieved the generator will automatically start).
STEP 7 The engine will stop running and then will restart automatically in the “Generator Mode”.
STEP 8 Once the engine speed reaches approximately 3500 RPM and stabilizes, switch the GFCI to the “ON” position.
STEP 9 Set the Voltage Monitor Switch to desired level (120V or 240V). The generator can now power equipment.
NOTE: During normal operation the Output Indicator Light will be continuously illuminated
NOTE: If a “Overload”, Short Circuit” or a “No Power” condition is indicated, turn off the generator immedi-
