7.

Fold the braid over the cable jacket. Then slide the connector body, wide end
first, onto the prepared cable until the edge of the cable’s foam is flush with the
bottom of the connector body (inside its threaded end). The cable’s center
conductor should extend 1/16" beyond the end of the connector body.

8.

Slide the compression fitting up into the connector body. Then place the cable
with the connector into the tool cavity. Be sure the cable’s center conductor is
straight and fits into the tool’s center hole.

9.

Squeeze the lever toward the tool until you feel it “snap” as the fitting is forced
into the connector, making a weather-tight seal. A white indicator will appear in
the sight hole (shown in the previous figure) when the seal is achieved.

The F-connector is now ready for use!
