• Assemble bearing (18), gear
(19), shims (10),(14), washer
(20). (without oil seal 22)
• Assemble bolt (21) and
tighten manually.
• Hit the pinion shaft (11) from
both sides in order to set the
axis.
• Check the axis preload value
that must be with a clearance
0÷0.05 mm.
• If the value is not correct
change shim setting (23) fig.
2.1, in order to obtain the right
value.
• Disassemble bolts (21),
washer (20), shims (14),(10),
gear (19) and bearing (18).
• Assemble oil seal (22),
bearing (18), gear (19).
• Assemble the largest shim
(10) against pinion shaft (11)
surface shim (14), bolt washer
(20).
• Put a Loctite 270 film on
thread bolt.
• Assemble bolt (21) and
tighten to 5÷6.4 kgm.

• Assemble parallel key (6) on
shaft (9), gear (5) and inner
ring (8), using pipe and
hammer.
• Assemble inner ring (3) on
shaft (9), using pipe and
hammer.
Tools : Snap ring pliers, pipe,
hammer, fork wrench n°13-17-
19, torque meter, caliper,
comparator, dynamometric
wrench.
•
Assemble snap ring (13),
shim (2) and outer ring (3)
using pipe and hammer.
• Assemble pre-mounted shaft
(12).
