Faults – causes and removal
Removal
pick up smaller, uniform swathes
Reduce speed
Raise baffle plate
Maintain trailer height
Replace safety bolt.
Reduce speed
Remove blunt cutter, sharpen and replace
or replace with new one.
Switch on advance in time
Replace defective cutters.
Replace or straighten scraper
Straighten spikes
Check adjustment and change if
necessary.
Check connections to solenoid valves,
check operation of valves by using
hydraulic emergency operation.
Possible causes
Uneven height or swathes too large
Speed of travel too high
Pick-up baffle plate too low
Restricted entry into feed channel
Safety bolt on the pick-up sprocket wheel
sheared off.
Speed of travel too high
Cutters blunt
Load material overpressed in the upper
channels
Defective cutters
Scrapers out of alignment
Spikes on the conveyor drum bent
System screw on the hydraulic valve unit
not adjusted correctly
Power supply interrupted
In this case, switch off the power take-off shaft. Determine the cause of the fault and
remove it, then switch on the power take-off shaft again.

Special safety instructions
•
Maintenance, care, service and cleaning work must only be carried out with the machine
shut down. Shut down the engine, remove the ignition key and switch off the
electrical system at the control box.
•
Secure the tractor and short-stalk loading wagon against rolling away.
•
After care, maintenance and service work is finished, re-install all protective covers
and protective devices in the correct manner.
•
Avoid getting oils and greases on the skin.
•
In case of injury due to escaping oil, immediately call a doctor.
Fault
Blockages in
the
intake area.
Stop immediately and
switch off power take-
off shaft.
The overload coupling
responds during
loading
Noises coming from
the conveyor drum
